Today’s Media are a media company dedicated to delivering news, events and marketing services to the legal services community.

We publish Today’s Conveyancer, the industry news publications for conveyancing and property law professionals, providing a daily dose of news, views, insight, and best practice from across property and law.

2. "The Roaring Twenties" was a time when the finest parties brought the right people together — why did you choose to be part of Sort Ball 2026?

Today’s Conveyancer prides itself on having its finger on the pulse with industry goings on and we’re keen to support the work of conveyancers and all those who contribute to the success of the wider sector.

So, when Kevin approached us to get involved in the inaugural year, we jumped at the chance to support as Media Partner, and we were delighted to be invited back to be involved in what promises to be a bigger and bolder event in 2026.

3. Sort Ball is one of the biggest moments in our calendar. What has been a standout moment for your business this year?

Two spring to mind… with a further one imminent!

Our biggest moments are driven by news, and there are few bigger moments in recent legal history than the landmark, and much-needed, government consultations recently launched on home buying and selling reform, and cohabitation law.

Both are important areas of concern for legal practitioners with wide-reaching ramifications for the general public. With the output of the home buying and selling consultation imminent, the conveyancing sector could be on the brink of monumental, if incremental, change over the course of the next few years.

4. If you could raise a glass to changing one thing about the industry right now, what would it be?

Through our editorial output and podcast we have asked a lot of questions about what change in home buying and selling looks like.

To date the government have seemed content to let private industry try and resolve the issue but the general consensus amongst many property professionals across banking, estate agency, surveying and conveyancing is that we need government to pull the starting gun by introducing some mandated elements.

It has been proven time and again that instruction of the legal process at the point of listing has so many knock-on benefits; if there is one thing the government could as part of its reform program which has so many potential positives, it’s mandating the instruction of conveyancing and property solicitors at the point of listing a property for sale.

5. In the roaring future of property, what are you chasing?

Today’s Conveyancer exists to serve its community of readers; our ambition is to continue to grow our reach and support our readership through independent editorial, our increasingly popular podcast output and by bringing together voices from around the property sector to share their news, views, insight and best practice.

6. In today's age of conveyancing, what story deserves the spotlight?

The hard work of conveyancing professionals day in, day out. The editorial output on Today’s Conveyancer is testament to the volume of information the sector has to consume daily.

And that’s before you consider doing the day job; keeping on top of complicated case files, dealing with the myriad of people through whom conveyancers are the conduit; dealing with clients, who are trying to complete one of the top 3 most stressful life events (alongside death and divorce… which ironically is often involved in property transactions because of personal circumstances).

It’s a marvel conveyancers stay (relatively!) sane so we’re looking forward to supporting Sort Legal and all the flappers and sheiks and Sort Ball 2026. You're the Bee's Knees! Grab some giggle water and hit the floor
